This was one of my second Serious projects I attempted ..With the Citizen Band Radio
pandemic in full swing and Good buddies all trying to make a noise and See who has the
strongest signal and the best sounding audio playing with various types of power microphones
that where imported by the serious operators also trying their best to have the best
and strongest audio specially on SSB when they were working DX and have clear and powerful
voices on the band ..There where the classic Leson TW232 desk microphones with a piezo capsule and very sensitive
microphone that would pick up everything in the room. There was also the K40 and other brands..
But this Microphone speech processor would solve all the problems and give you good and solid audio.
For SSB modes...More information on how it works in the actual article of practical wireless from
January 1980...We managed to make the PCB out of the book when we started making pcb's still with
ferrite chloride and positive twenty and develop our boards in the sun and later with a special UV
light box that we made. A lot of these processors where made and we had to find old written off
CB's to save the meter for the modulation indicator. We manufactured many of them and operators where
very impressed by the results that they got when working DX and very good reports..
